It seems like whenever a soviet wepons designer asked what the government wants the rate of fire to be the government just seems to say "yes" Комментарий от : @brandonmcmanis5528 |

I'm watching your videos, and it seems to me more and more that most Americans treat Soviet weapons with great respect.

this gun is very cute kkkk Комментарий от : @arleygoncalves9554 |
Looking at it from the side , the recoil looks quite straight it doesent kick up that much. Комментарий от : @StodOneR |
In enlisted it is very OP. You use semi auto for long range, and for close range or inside buildings, you go full auto Комментарий от : @andrewezjevikov |
I read somewhere that the automatic mode is needed in this rifle to pretend there's still a machine gunner in the unit in case of machine gun death, or to represent firing points, distracting the enemy, not for lethal use. The ABC36 is designed for experienced shooters who know their business. it's sensitive to care, and don't like automatic mode. ofc single shot mod was more common in use. sry for bad English Комментарий от : @CrustAttack |
Could anybody tell me with proved pictures or something if this weapon was used in 1936/39 Spanish civil war? In a book I readed about weapons of that war is said It was in limited use, maybe 20 or 30 rifles Комментарий от : @111222333daniel |
out of curiosity; does anyone know what causes the barrel to start smoking? Is it burning the handle guard, or is the barrel coated in oil and that is burning off? Комментарий от : @lemmonsinmyeyes |
...And, nevertheless, there is no rifle bayonet for the ABC-36 in this video. The design of the attachment of this bayonet to the rifle allows you to transfer the bayonet to a function similar to machine-gun bipods by sticking the bayonet into the ground, into a more stable firing from the trench, or, in the prone position for the shooter. In auto mode this gun is completly out of control...but i still like it.
Meanwhile in Tarkov.. you're shooting the sky by the 3rd round Комментарий от : @jasp64 |
I want one. It resembles an SKS, but full auto and shoots a cartridge I really like.
I love how the US military adopted almost the same silly uncontrollable gun as the Red Army but 20 years down the road just to replace it with a rust bucket of an assault rifle, the M16, that would get stuffed in small arms combat by a design that's was almost 20 years older. Maybe that history is worth looking into. Комментарий от : @TheNavalAviator |
"out of orbit" lmao Комментарий от : @thescatologistcopromancer3936 |
This is the rarest rifle even in Russia. There is nobody of civilians has it there. I even can’t image how it costs. No way to buy it in Gun Stores. Where did u get it?
Why didn't they upgrade those Комментарий от : @kourtneyhanley |
Wish my type 56 sks had select fire but semi automatic ain’t bad Комментарий от : @markjamison4256 |

I guess firing this in full auto falls into the "like snorting hot sauce" category.

Can you show the compensator ??
the full auto would absolutely shred at close range Комментарий от : @DontStealMyNoEffortName |

4:36 Notice the barrel flexing in this clip.
Thanks, that last slow motion was a great example of barrel flex, unbelievable. It really flexes a lot, had to watch it several times Комментарий от : @barry7608 |
Imagine WW2 battlefields if these Russian automatic weapons had been much more common 😳 Комментарий от : @Mainz_1901 |

Why are old Russian gun s so pretty?
That metallic echoing sound is haunted.
Don't know if it's my imagination or the camera but the barrel appears to be wriggling around like a snake when it fires. Almost like the barrel is too thin. I'm assuming gas pressure and vibration are making it wriggle around.
The man with the best job in the World!
at idle, it seems like a flexibility in the barrel especially in full auto Комментарий от : @ThePontiacgto65 |
would it not be more controllable fired from a prone position with a bipod?
For these old Soviet guns i wish he would introduce himself as Ivan Mccullum.
That's really is fast cycle full auto for such an early design it works awesome 😎 Комментарий от : @willyberg123 |
100% fun achieved. For 1.5 seconds. Комментарий от : @bigwhiteyeti |

This thing shoots at the rate of a PPSH and yet it shares the same shoulder crushing caliber of the Mosin-Nagant, who tf thought it was a good idea??

Anyone still alive, could look around to see where the Ivan was firing from. "I see the falling gold, he is at 310 from my position" Комментарий от : @uncletiggermclaren7592 |
The way Ian starts to jiggle during this last salvo indicates this firing range has some really severe lag problems. Комментарий от : @Furzkampfbomber |
You can argue that Russian made the sensible decision to drop full auto but remember that US troops were converting their Garands to full auto so smart or not there was a demand for it. Комментарий от : @poisonarc |
Looks like a m14 Комментарий от : @rickyj5547 |
in practice i'd expect this would serve more as light machinegun for suppression, or in a standard infantry role the full auto only used for suppression and close quarters Комментарий от : @anthonywilliams379 |
That barrel, tho. (Whip it, whip it good) Комментарий от : @stevemiller7433 |
I've never heard of this one, awesome Комментарий от : @VoltageLP |
From the slow-mo clips, it looks like the muzzle brake/compensator is the biggest reason for the uncontrollability of the gun in full auto. It prevents muzzle climb, but at the cost of bending the barrel to the point of opening a gap in the front of the frame. This very clear in the second slow-mo clip near the end of the video. The barrel oscillation this causes, would be a big part of the vibration that Ian reports. In the previous strip down video, you can see that the top vent of the muzzle brake in much larger, hence the downward force it applies to the muzzle. It would be interesting to see this weapon fired with a symmetrical muzzle brake. It may be that this was a better weapon than they realized.
This rifle was a genius' work. I live in Brazil. Комментарий от : @daltonagre |
It seems like an excellent rifle for 1936, I wonder how much politics played into a getting replaced.
Didn't even see the brass shooting out, so fast it flies...
As far as i know the assos sniper zaharova used an svt 38 for killing most of the 305 germans which made her consider as an asses of snipers to soviet union Комментарий от : @georgealevriadis7571 |
So... it's the rifle counterpart to the Stechkin, then?

Valta kuuluu kansalle-mainos. VMP. Siksi VKK. Suvakkien persuihin lyömä "kiihkopuolue"-leima siirtyy luonnollisesti ajan saatossa VKK:lle. Minkä me pois persuilta otamme annamme takaisin. Ja älkää te persuja äänestäkö. On siellä massoittain heikkohermoisia, jotka sen tekevät.
The high speed footage is fucking hilarious. Goddam that works well for what it is.
Ivan: I want gun that screams like me and pee like me! Gun smith: I will see what I can do. Result: AVS 36 Комментарий от : @davidlambert6171 |
That gun flops around A LOT. It's basically a bullet hose. Комментарий от : @Oblithian |

Does it hurt 😢 ? Ouch ! Yes it does Комментарий от : @corsair371 |
that thing is TERRIFYING in slow motion full auto... shit goes like a wet noodle. I'm not the type to not want to do many things when it comes to firearms, but I do NOT want to shoot that thing.
And nobody thought 7.62x39 in full auto would be a good idea I swear all of these stupid people back in the day had half a brain Комментарий от : @commoncriminal923 |

AVS-36 vs M14 full auto firing only, Brutality Match… Which one are you choosing, Ian?
Would be interesting to see how this would have been with 6.5mm Arisaka Комментарий от : @williamflowers9435 |
Ahhhhh truly a quality weapon. Unlike those hitler loving Finnish guns.
What’s insane is, watching the slow motion firing, seeing just how much the recoil moves through the entire gun. Absolutely proves the point Ian made. No business being select fire.
Avs36 telling svt40 the sks is its son. Svt40: uh oh Комментарий от : @anthonyhamburg8885 |
