 | He gave me harmony! When I was a little girl of age, something bad was done to me, that caused so much damage, as that little girl's heart broke into sadness, by some adult's madness! The abuse gave me many years of agony, until I surrendered my life to the Lord, and found myself in harmony. Finally I understood that He always had loved me, and He had felt the pain I felt ; that made my heart melt. He helped me to forgive the abusers, as His love for me changed my heart for real, and He little by little the wounds would heal. Today, my heart aches for those who have gone through the same, and thought it was some adult's game. I pray for them with deep compassion and sorrow, as I hope for them a better tomorrow ; and that they will turn to the Lord with all their agony, as He is the only One who can give them harmony! 25.12.2020.  | He doesn't know why he did it that is the most infuriating thing to hear it was because he was a lustful man that did folliwed his flesh and not The Spirit. Also why is it hard for the parents it happened to the young girl he made it about him and the mom made it about her. The molester will continue to molest because if their thoughts are they don't know why they did it and also have the audacity to say it was in the past like brushing it off.  | And we need to see the mother of Serenity taking an undergarment off in a bathroom stall, why? And then her boobs are hanging out of her dress...what the hell was that? The production values of the movie are poor, but the story made it worth watching, but that scene just made it too hard to take the intent of the movie makers seriously. Seems every movie has to have a woman taking a shower or changing her clothes, but when the story is about child sexual abuse, it would just make sense to keep the typical sexualized scenes out of it, no? Its like you're still titillating men while trying to say a man sexually abusing a child is wrong-conflicting messages. And at the end they put the victim under pressure to "forgive". While the parents do nothing to make it right-all they want is to get rid of their guilt and the victim had to seek help by herself and put her life back together. So lame.  | I was sexual abused by my teacher which he called it correction by my friends uncle my brother and so many other things he did to me verbally and physically abused me. I lived those years a very angry and foul mouth. I was in my late 30's before I gave my life to God and when I did my life changed in a way I never thought it would have he set me free from all those thing that took place and I am so thankful it has not been easy but to serve him he better then not to. I am at the part where the mother pulls over and tries to talk her daughter out of believing that her own father touched her sexually as she says to her daughter you probably had a bad dream or something. What a horrible person (mother). Not to mention the really bad acting. I am a believer in Jesus Christ, God the Father and The Holy Spirit. | I just started watching the movie and I can tell by the comments that it is intense but in the opening moments I had to laugh. The guy comes in the store and says I just need a pack of cigarettes. Now I have been smoke free for four years this month praise God. However when I did smoke they were like 10 bucks a pack no one says to the clerk I just need a pack of cigarettes because at 10 bucks a pack you know exactly what brand and whether they are lights or full flavor or 100's.  | As a sexual abuse survivor, I must admit that I tried to give this movie a chance, but it ended terribly. You just can't force forgiveness down someone's throat who has been sexually abused. Forgiveness is a process depending on the offense. In a case such as this, the victim/survivor forgives when they are ready and it might take years or a lifetime. You can't tie everything into a nice neat bow. This movie meant well but it was unrealistic in so many ways, it skipped too many steps. My main question is why when Child Protective Services was called, wasn't the father arrested? As a social worker I can't believe that step was missed! And at the end the mom and stepdad have dinner and the mom calls the daughter to tell her she needs to forgive him? Sometimes the church in trying to keep in step with scripture can be clueless to how real life works. I will say the characters were believable especially the father but the writing was really bad.
