Is this setup compatible with the Geeetech A10M??? As far as I know, the printers (ender and A10M) are almost identical Комментарий от : @EfthimiouTheodoro |
You are very awesome 😊 Комментарий от : @Accessgp |
hi im trying to adapt this design to an ender 3 max , can you help me in what will be the equivalent belt length for the ender 3 max Комментарий от : @LaxLegion |
Can I add this to my dual Z set up if I'm running dual z steppers? My z never stays true. So I want to add a timing belt Комментарий от : @wrenchology922 |
👍👍 Комментарий от : @8711dave |
Amei as ideias. O eixo Z duplo e as extremidades fáceis de trocar são incríveis! Definitivamente vou dar uma chance a eles Definitivamente consegui um novo assinante ✌🏁 Комментарий от : @CabralWolverine |
i know i am 3 years late. But how do i trace issues for z-binding for this setup? Комментарий от : @sinkysg |
Excellent video! For people having some spare 20 tooth pullys: A 610mm gt2 belt will fit in that case. Комментарий от : @yitspaerl7255 |
What size belt would this require with the Ender Extender 400? Комментарий от : @robertfrayer6711 |
This is some nice freaking work! Комментарий от : @LiviuMelioth |
Where did you get the 300mm lead screw? Reprap doesn't seem to have it. And is the lead screw an M8? What pitch? Комментарий от : @Mikey_xx_ |
Did you leave a link for that adjustable z stop around here somewhere? Комментарий от : @Mikey_xx_ |
You mind giving the link to were you buy the M3 Inserts, so many websites claim to sell the correct ones but turn out to be a different size, thank you Комментарий от : @gifted6305 |
I’d pay you to put mine together by the hour lol. Great job dude I’ve returned one of these because I couldn’t get it square. Bought a anycubic i3 mega and that was way worse. I will be buying another ender 3 , pro instead of v2 because I already have tcm2209 Комментарий от : @smokefentanyl |
is there maybe a change that you will design an Hardware enclosure for the Ender 3 ? One Complete Casing, on Top of the Powersupply that includes the Board and the Screen, ? I would love tto have one but i dont can design sadly, but you seem to be a genius =) Комментарий от : @AsusDK1 |
Hey Jon, thank you for your videos. I like watching them. You said something about an adjustable endstop, but I can´t find the link you mentioned. Because thats what I need for changing between normal and Volcano Hotend. It is just 8 mm longer. Greets Mo Комментарий от : @andreasm8391 |
nice video, thanks, where did you get the cable chain design from if you don't mind sharing? Комментарий от : @fate2022 |
Great video. Can I ask why such large pulleys? Most are using much smaller. Wouldn’t the larger pulley require more torque from the motor? Комментарий от : @mcloopie |
did you have to calibrate the z steps after the upgrade? I seem to be missing a bit of height even tho the wheels are not too tight and the frame is sqare. Комментарий от : @radovanobal3842 |
Just subscribed, love your videos! Great suff. Very impressed with your 3D modeling skills. Quick question; I've seen you use the inserts before, do you have a link or what they're called? Looks like you heat them up first, then press fit them? Thanks in advance, James Комментарий от : @itjayw |
Hi, very very nice upgrade and execution! Here in Argentina i can only get that belts: 610mm, 600mm, 500mm, 400mm, and these pulleys: 60, 40, 36, 30, 28, with what combination i can go, instead of the one u show in the video? i cannot find that 696 anywhere, pls help! Комментарий от : @Eddinski |
Brother Can u share some details and stl file of supporting bracket ? Комментарий от : @palashjain3988 |
Jon, I questioned why you went with dual Z via timing belt over adding dual Z via 2 independent steppers until I saw the creality contest submission. I personally went with dual z on independent steppers so that I can z align with a G34. Was part of that decision so that you could eventually add the stepper driver for the 2nd extruder? Do you have any future plans that might require additional steppers? If so where do you think you'll go from here for expansions? Maybe move onto BTT SKR 1.4 turbo or pro boards? Комментарий от : @runtpacket |
any diferences in sound levels after this upgrade? Комментарий от : @ignassungaila5781 |
Hey buds where does a guy find those adjustable Z stops ? Cant find them on your website. Thank You Peace Комментарий от : @wickedjack1222 |
Is it better than installing another z motor? Комментарий от : @Anmar_Osama |
Can someone tell me what m5 screws fit, Socket head or rounded head? Thanks Комментарий от : @sameesyed6507 |
very nice work thank you. Комментарий от : @lethe665 |
Dont know if you still use this camera, if so it may help quality if you deinterlace the video Комментарий от : @Nuclearnadalah |
Hoi ik ben Nederlands. Maar werkt dit ook op de ender 3 V2 :) zo ja reageer hier op hopelijk zie je dit Комментарий от : @hexidev |
Is this setup compatible with the Ender-3v2? Комментарий от : @takirosh |
hi. just organising the print. can i ask what the 1mm shim is for and how many? its not noted on your website. thanks Комментарий от : @MrOrangeman18 |
Awesome. Will do the same on my v2. Cheers Комментарий от : @MrOrangeman18 |
What's the thing that you use to level the bed?? Комментарий от : @hanschristianhadison2896 |
Awesome work! Very efficient integration of designed parts for big accuracy improvements. Well done! Комментарий от : @danielhertz7266 |
This just stopped me from covering to corexy. Thanks Jon! Keep up the good work! Комментарий от : @tyabrahamse2461 |
lol 696 = 6ix9ine6ix Комментарий от : @AllInnerLove |
A most EXCELLENT design! Комментарий от : @tzsetzse |
Looks great! Thanks for the information. So......at the end of the day did you find that this improved the quality of your prints, especially the dual z-axis drive? Thanks again. Комментарий от : @alanberickson |
I assume you're selling the fittings, I'm interested in the complete kit for the supports plus the dual z azis mod. I live in the Aussie outback and the parts you've shown would be a nightmare to order, if indeed I can find them to buy. I'm also very interested in your swap mechanism for the hot end, a great idea. Are you selling a kit for those as well? Hopefully we can do business, it's great to see people coming up with so many clever ideas. Комментарий от : @propfella |
olá amigo! Eu não consigo fazer uma doação em Euro você poderia me enviar o projeto para eu doar em dólar ? Комментарий от : @LiveSystemsOficial |
what is the point of the z brace. the ender frame is prety sturdy already! Комментарий от : @duality4y |
What wheelbase do you have between the bolts? Комментарий от : @Robert_TLH |
Not sure if I missed on your video or on the description on your site but I had to use small washers for the M5 nuts on the part that mounts behind the X gantry as the part was rubbing onto the vslot wheels and prevented them from rotating smoothly. The right side was dragging whenever Z changed direction before fitting the second rod and I found that weird. Adding the rod would stop the dragging but probably wear out the vslots. Adding 3 little washers did the trick with and without the second rod, everything is moving smoothly again. Комментарий от : @masimplo |
I finally decided to go down this road myself. I am looking over the designs and the part list to be sure I got everything figured out before attempting this. One question @Proper Printing, what is the slot on the bottom back side of the top mount for? ( imgur.com/mgn0o87) I don't see any hardware in the part list that would fit in there, but I could be wrong. Комментарий от : @masimplo |
Brilliant 👏 👏 👏!! Комментарий от : @Xilindroo |
Hallo Proper Printing, I have bought a ender 3 pro also thanks to you. and also doing the upgrades Do you have a link of the M3 inserts where you can buy them ? Bedankt! After a few months now and contact Jon i have put a how to on my own page : www.jarwien.nl/3d-printing-ender-3-v2/ender-3-v2-dual-z-axis-with-frame-braces/ side note i have permission from Jon! Комментарий от : @JarwienNL |
Thanks Jon. All your videos are very enjoyable, your technical knowledge is amazing and I learn heaps by listening and watching your videos. Keep up the great work. Thanks Комментарий от : @Vypar1 |
The X axis carriage of my Ender 3 doesn't have the play that yours does. It actually doesn't have any play at all that I can feel or see. If I disconnect the Z motor, the carriage falls to the bottom on it's own so the POM rollers aren't too tight. That being said, I think I'll be adding this dual Z axis mod anyway because I'm planning to convert the hotend to direct drive which means more weight on the carriage. One change I'll be making is to modify the T8 nut bracket to accept POM anti-backlash nuts just to add a little more precision (I hope). Hopefully this mod will help with the additional load of the direct drive hardware. If not, then it's time for dual Z motors. As aways, good job on this mod. Комментарий от : @Waltkat |
I don't know why but I've tried to print thinky's files several times now, but every time after about 80% it makes some mistake, so far it has only wasted time and material. have now loaded the file again directly from the website umd hope it fits now Material is already running out and the mood is in the basement. what I don't understand is why everything fits in the slicer but the sm printer does not Комментарий от : @mariohaider2430 |
That's Awesome will this work with the Ender 3 v2 ? Комментарий от : @dantheman3k |
How is this working? Комментарий от : @android61242 |
Maybe include some pictures of how you oriented these for printing. I was able to print these after some trial and error but a 3 hour print would go a bit smoother with some help from the one who created these. Especially if you are asking for coffee/tips/donations. Комментарий от : @jimlovesgina |
Where are the 3d print files? Комментарий от : @parkvip |
amazing you are rock strar Jon!, i really enjoy your video Комментарий от : @eisaalqubaisi7652 |
Thx for sharing all this ! Комментарий от : @StefanGeets |
Hey recently subscribed to your channel. Great content, really original and out of the box ideas here. Have you posted a parts list somewhere for this, in case any of us is crazy enough to attempt what you are doing? Комментарий от : @masimplo |
love your videos mate, very creative and supper entertainig, doing every upgrade on my ender 3 pro tanks to all your videos. Keep it up, also could you share with me the love for the little inserts screws you use. I'll like to know the size, if possible just send me link.(🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟) Комментарий от : @IsaacMJr |
Hi, not quite sure if you've covered this elsewhere, but how well will these mods work on a standard Ender 3 (not Pro) please? Комментарий от : @boballen2350 |
Jon shouldnt that lead screw be a little longer? Комментарий от : @therambler3833 |
Where do I find the adjustable Z-Stop? Could not find it in the discription... Комментарий от : @thorbenpanusch779 |
Jon, Did you have to adjust the 'Z' height for any clearance issues for the extruder or the new 'Z' axis pulleys at the top? Комментарий от : @jchristensen2022 |
I love the painful awkwardness of your videos lol Комментарий от : @timekeepercollective2791 |
Great job. Комментарий от : @mmanisse |
Amazing perspective on using Creality products. I love the out of the box thinking and your videos are very refreshing. Keep up the good work. Комментарий от : @Raafman42 |
You should revise this bro an add a motor for both axis’s like the cr 10 Комментарий от : @bigwpg204 |
Man- that’s an amazing looking ender 3 Комментарий от : @chrisperrywv |
7:11...i know this feeling :) Комментарий от : @monter75 |
Sorry but I can't understand the difference between Bracket_inserts or Bracket_without_inserts.
It seems to me that there is only the difference in the fixing holes of the TR8X8 - Snail. Which one should I choose? Thank you! Комментарий от : @giancarlob.8410 |
Holy crap! You have opened my eyes! Love the ideas. The dual Z axis and the easy to swap got ends are amazing! Definitely going to give those a go. You're pretty talented dude 👌. Definitely got a new subscriber here (from NZ), looking forward to more content 👍. Комментарий от : @OhhYeeeah |
have to say, you created this mod very very nicely. I am adored how well u made it. With few €, you are getting quality of preety decent printer :D Комментарий от : @bajkerjohnvolta |
you said " today me is going to solve it" the proper way to say that would be *I am going to solve it not me. (Not making fun of you only helping haha) Комментарий от : @JTAGxUsELeSs |
7:05-7:18....the exact expression my ender 3 puts on my face 95% of the time. Been an industrial electrician for 20+ years, reload my own ammo (even have FFL to sell my reloads), can pretty well tinker my way through anything. But this little bastard printer has handed me defeat after defeat. My determination to not be beat by that horse demon logo is all that keeps me going. Fueled by hate, bound by my fleeting pride. 😐 Комментарий от : @outtodoubt |
How did you accurately calculate or measure the distance between the z-axis towers? Комментарий от : @bitsurfer0101 |
No before and after sample prints to see if the modification had any effect at all. Perhaps you should measure against the fixed top bar instead of the adjustable bed. Комментарий от : @j.critch9977 |
Maybe let us see how it prints lol thanks for sharing been watching and laughing same time. Great videos. Ok man let's be friend love the idea Now i'm convince i have to do the same thing Комментарий от : @therambler3833 |
Excellent upgrade. I will be implementing quite a few of them on my E3Pro. What adjustable z Stop STL did you use. I can not seem to find. Thank You. Комментарий от : @pattr007 |
I ordered and printed out the parts a while ago, but didn't get to installing them. Now i do (and half of the world does i think). The only thing i miss, is the m3 inserts. Can you give a link of which ones you use? I'm not certain of which ones to buy. Thanks and keep up the awesome work!!! Edit : i didn't look good enough, you allready answered someone else with the same question. Thanks again! Комментарий от : @fredrossi046 |
Can anyone tell me where to get the files for the swappable hotend :D Комментарий от : @shaunie8636 |
Man, you are a super talented dude! Very nice mods and mad skills in designing stuff and more importantly bring it to use. Congrats!!! Комментарий от : @reddayzz |
Nice video, ah the way people say Z hurts me 😂 Комментарий от : @NorthCamZ |
Directly connecting both ends of lead screws is not normally advisable. the vertical rails are your guidance system the lead screws are your motion system. when both are rigid and you link them you will get push pull between then IE you will introduce noise into your prints as the push pull between guidance and motion work against each other. IN THEORY if built precisely enough it can work (and you are probably one of the few who I think could pull it off actually. your attention to detail is rather impressive) but for average joe user. not a good idea. better to go with 2 steppers not physically connect and without both ends being "bound" (the tops of the lead screws free to dangle) THIS way if there is any deviation in the hardware a surprising amount of it can be absorbed and "not" transfered to the motion system (the rails) which will then transfer to the nozzle as "deviations" ie noise usually z wobble as print artifacts. however a properly configured machine where you do NOT use "zhop" 1 stepper actually is enough for a machine this size. as long as you don't bump it :-) hehe Комментарий от : @nerys71 |

Hi I have been printing all the parts and my parts ordered have arrived. what are the shims for ? I couldn't see where they fit in ? Thanks Комментарий от : @dallibabs |
Subscribed. Love the way you tackled issues mechanically by fixing root problem, solid as tank! Комментарий от : @lowvaeater |
I really want to do this mod, but I'm worried about the lack of a belt tensioner. Won't the dual z belt stretch out over time? Комментарий от : @GarlashZephyr |
Just discovered your channel by searching for Dual Z reviews. Your upgrade is LIIIIT dude! Nice content! Комментарий от : @tomlemanh5506 |
Hello great video! I would like to ask you, if this upgrade helped you, and if your print quality improved after this? Did you noticed any improvements? Thank you! Комментарий от : @creativ01 |
New subscriber. Can you give us a link to the parts you’re using? Thank you Комментарий от : @jasonh8470 |
Hey mate! Cool videos, nice internet site. I love your work and can't wait for the parts, so I can make this mod. In the meantime I wanted to make this adjustable z endstop you are using, but couldn't find this model in thingiverse. May I ask you for a link? Thanks a bunch and cheers from Bulgaria Комментарий от : @ViktorSolenoid |
As my grandpa says if you cant make it exact. Make it adjustable Комментарий от : @martijnbammens8841 |

Love that set up, keep up the good work. will be following your your videos.... Комментарий от : @cleme007 |
What do you think of adding a second dual axis with a second stepper motor and avoiding the belt entirely? Комментарий от : @ManWhoLostTooth |
This guy's a wizard, amazing stuff :) Комментарий от : @homeautomationlab1533 |
FIrst 2 minutes in you already provided so much clean information, well done, you have added a subscriber! Комментарий от : @Trikkie87 |
