Thanks for watching! You can use my referral code to get 1,500 km of free Supercharging on a new Tesla - ts.la/thomas7208 Комментарий от : @LudicrousFeed |
how much it cost for charging ? Комментарий от : @MeetSingh-jl9ts |
I guess you need to add the cost of entry to the various places on Top of the supercharger cost! Комментарий от : @pastorofmuppets8834 |
your video also interests me to do same trip same as you and to byron bay, I will :) Excited :) Комментарий от : @tintuu6546 |
its all empty in supercharger always, but its 2 years ago, i dont know or wonder how it would be noww? People will wait in queue for long? Комментарий от : @tintuu6546 |
one feedback here, would have been nicw if you had included price for charging at each spot with the time you charged etc in supercharge Комментарий от : @tintuu6546 |
Great car for totalitarian govts..You switch off the electricity and all goes south pretty quickly... Комментарий от : @stanleywhiteman6450 |
Want to hope no one else is at charging station!!!!!!!! Комментарий от : @rextravers8054 |
We are doing the same trip. In our Performance Model 3. Do you have the distances / battery % between charges listed anywhere? I am concerned Heatherbrae to Port Macquarie for us was 98% to 28% Комментарий от : @louisemorton8154 |
What does it cost you per charge to come to a 100% charge Комментарий от : @adrianworcester |
I have a new Tesla model 3 and I’m doing the trip to Byron bay from Sydney so thanks for your video this will help me a lot get there with no hassles and know where to stop and charge my car...I have some charging credit I have not used yet...and don’t really know how to go about using it Комментарий от : @antoniaellis7913 |
How much did you pay for all the charging done to get to Byron Bay? Is the same for everyone? Комментарий от : @tonyward9554 |
You should plan to get your battery go down to 10-15% each time to charge much faster. Even on very long trips I never have to charge more than 15-20 minutes (every 2hours of driving). ;-) Комментарий от : @silverejauny5338 |
Awesome EV trip. To make this journey faster, you should aim for a lower percentage when you arrive at the supercharger. As it will charge significantly faster between 15-40% than from 40% onwards It seems you have the range to allow this. if you charge just enough to make it to the next one with a 15% buffer it will be much quicker. What make of camera do you have for making your videos? Комментарий от : @derrickhalliday205 |
what's the cost at the supercharger per KW? I noticed bottom right has a cost for current session Комментарий от : @Rolls87 |
Just wondering how much it cost you in electricity to get to Byron? Комментарий от : @davidbrookes9424 |
Nice! You're a legend Tom !! You're obviously doing a tour of superchargers as stopping that frequently is unnecessary unless they're brief stops to 80% :-) So my loved machine is sitting at 65% charge at the moment in Brisbane and it suggests that if I want to go to Sydney that I go to near Byron Bay and top up from 15% and then stop a second time at Port Macquarie and arrive in Sydney with admittedly lowish 9%. 2 stops. Sometimes it does sometimes it doesn't also recommend a brief stop at Newcastle ... in which case I arrive at Sydney with a higher percentage. About to do another trip to Sydney in a couple of weeks. I've found the car has become eerily accurate in 18mths ownership. Rock on! Комментарий от : @adrianternouth4404 |
Great video Tom, I noticed that the charge rates are a bit slow hopefully v3 of the supercharger can come and improve to 200+. Комментарий от : @MichaelSmith-px1ev |
Wow 10 minutes charging time at Newcastle, that's awesome. I want to do this trip next year when I'm in a position to get a M3. Комментарий от : @yggdrasil9039 |
How many KM range does it actually get on a full charge? Комментарий от : @shanedurlik6729 |
Seeing lots of M3s on the road now. We were in the Hunter last weekend and there were 2 parked up at the Brokenwood winery destination chargers, great to see. Комментарий от : @pangit9999 |
Awww, you muted the Caraoke section! Spoilsports! Lol Комментарий от : @pangit9999 |
Also I didn’t see any other Tesla’s. Is the demand not high in Australia? Ty. Комментарий от : @billnipp2309 |
Tom. Have you noticed better efficiency with the 3 compared to your S yet? Комментарий от : @billnipp2309 |
Thanks for sharing - you probably had enough referral credits but any idea how much it would have cost for the trip if you had to pay at the super chargers? Комментарий от : @ianimac24 |
Where did you stay in Byron Bay? “Byron Quarter Apartments” (8b Byron Street) are quite nice and right near the beach Комментарий от : @Sey_Cay_ |
Nice video How long did it take not including the over night stay to get to sunny Byron 😁. No Iceing at the super chargers 😂 Комментарий от : @Scoobydug |
Nice trip, although I was surprised to see a bit of unnecessary supercharging... surely you could have skipped the ones immediately before you were staying the night at somewhere that had destination chargers? But I don't blame you for wanting to gather some B-roll footage of the various charger locations ;) Surprised you didn't run into any other Teslas actually! Комментарий от : @CharlesGregory |
You could go just via Port McQuarie and Coffs Harbour, according to A Better Route Planner. abetterrouteplanner.com/?plan_uuid=b271d16e-b693-4447-9739-d68f4c69e126 I thouhght I'd deleted this!!. That route planner is for the Tesla Model S. It is so nice to see a Tesla driving on the correct side of the road!! Комментарий от : @bohicajohnson7203 |
Great video. I am doing that same trip at the end of the year with my daughter. Комментарий от : @justind3981 |
Cool video, just a tip though, for efficiency and time charging to 80% even on a road trip is the best option. Anything above 80 slows down dramatically and it’s better just to change to 80 then head to the next supercharger and charge again to 80. Only time I would use over 80 is if the supercharger was too far for the 80% range Комментарий от : @_Adventure_Awaits |
i appreciate it you are using tesla super chargers and not clogging up the nrma slow dc chargers. thanks Комментарий от : @ursodermatt8809 |
the weather changed during the end Комментарий от : @clayton4115 |
Shame we missed each other. I've been to brissie Tesla 4 times in the last few days for the supercharge on holiday trips. As a new Tesla user I'm most excited about the Auto Pilot though .. for 4 trips I've only had to take control 3 times, and the first 2 were just because of other jerk drivers and me being overly cautious. Only one stretch at night the road markings disappeared and AP gave up .. otherwise totally flawless. I got so confident with it driving alone at night I grabbed my phone and signed up for Spotify premium trial and got it all configured in the car. Not strictly legal, but was totally fine. Must commend tesla for having enough charger capacity as in about two stops u were the only one there Hope there are other charging stations for other electric cars I just dont understand why other companies dont partner up with tesla Комментарий от : @ashanmendis1930 |
what is the best way to buy a tesla ..... buy cash or take a loan in australia ? Thanks Комментарий от : @jguzman713 |
Hopefully I’ll be doing the Gong to Brissie soon. The network is looking good! Stage 2 will be for @Tesla to fill it out a bit so our trips don’t feel as much like your on rails. That sudden influx of M3’s should be felt I hope on the charging network. Комментарий от : @Gaffa3007 |
Nice! Looks like an amazing road trip! Zero range anxiety there. I was a little disappointed that you muted the karaoke 🤪 Комментарий от : @TeslaStraya |
